The V2 X3 kit is simply fantastic. The obvious care that goes into the production is obvious immediately on opening the box. With this simple mod the range of my Phantom Vision has more than doubled and greatly helped stabalize the fpv feed when using higher resolution and frame rate without having to be super accurate aiming at the quad.
If you have a hard case to transport your quad the aerial kit is light enough to attach to the repeater using Velcro so its very easy to remove for packing and transport.

This is for my Phantom 2 Vision. I wanted to increase my camera range. I was getting horizontal ranges to 1500 ft. with the stock antennas. I am now getting over 3000 ft. with better video setting.
I was worried at the "directionality" of this antenna configuration. I have had no problems flying in close proximity; however, at distances farther than 2500 ft., I have experienced "transmitter signal lost" requiring me to be intentional at directing my antenna array toward my drone requiring me to be intentional to "aim" the antenna array toward the drone when flying at long distances.
Two concerns…
First, protect the computer circuit board in the range extender when drilling!
Second, there is no easy way to attach this antenna to my transmitter. I managed to attach the antenna array to the ranger extender with two wire ties.
