I took my time in doing the installation. After reviewing several youtube videos and the facebook FPVLR group comments and pictures, I was able to do the installation. In total, it took me about 7 hours but that’s because I was being extremely careful to do everything right the first time and watching youtube installations a bunch of times. I could not find any one place that described the installation for this product as of June 4th, 2016. The pictures on the FPVLR facebook group is a little confusing as there is no description and it contains extra 5.8ghz pictures that don’t apply to this installation for the Phantom 4. I was able to make out the installation of this by reviewing all of the information at the FPVLR facebook group and all of the youtube installation videos I could find. The youtube videos show the Phantom 3 installation with the older booster. There was nothing I could find that showed how to do the installation for the booster of this product. There was one that showed the Phantom 4 without the booster. However with time and patience, the installation can be done. I will post pictures on the facebook FPVLR group page.
With stock antennas, the interference from the houses before had my distance maxed at about a half a mile. Straight line distance with stock antennas from the roof of my house was maxed at 4000 feet which is 3/4th of a mile right at when I would lose signal and the Phantom 4 return-to-home would activate. After the installation of the long range boosted kit for the Phantom 4, I took the Phantom 4 out I went to the same places I had gone with the stock antennas which were behind houses. I was able to go farther but not double because of the homes interfering with the signal. Then with a fresh stock battery, I went 300 feet high and got a distance of 13000 feet and decided to turn around because I was afraid the battery might not make it back home. When the Phantom 4 made it back home the battery was right at 30%. That’s over 3 times the distance I got before and I could have gone further as I didn’t lose radio signal. I kept the remote pointed at the drone for the entire time.
I’m very happy with this purchase! Hopefully someone will make a video and post to youtube about how to do the installation for this specific boosted kit. I thought about making one but I’m not that technically inclined with all of the terms involved with antennas. I didn’t even know what a Torx screwdriver was before attempting the installation. But the videos on youtube explained the controller installation very well. My local hardware store had the T6 Torx screwdriver so that part wasn’t too bad. It was only the booster part of the installation (newest part) that wasn’t described very well in videos.
Maybe we should all get together and request from DJI to have the next iteration of the Phantom series contain replaceable antennas so that installations like this would be much easier. Taking a part the controller was the most daunting part of the installation. But if I can do it, I feel anyone can do it with patience.

Best FPVLR antenna ever for my Phantom 4 !! Quick transportation, no customs delay !! Two things are to discuss.
First, why there are no tubes for the transmitter holes over the sma-males like Argtek. There is a lot of space in the holes and the sma-males fits better with the tubes !! Thanks for the third cable instead !!
Second, In the battery-box there is a note that the battery is not loading without switching to on. My battery is loading with switch off and the charger shows red for loading and goes to green when finished ? Is this an illusion or incorrect ?
Thank you FPVLR.com, you have made a further customer satisfield!
