Xiaomi Mi 5.8Ghz antenna kit

This kit is based on the FPVLR 12dBi 5.8ghz helix antennas.

They will double to triple your stock range, when installed and aimed correctly.

Installation notes:

Stock antennas are removed, and some plastic “lips” inside the controller are removed using needle nose pliers and twisting, in order to fit these connectors in the stock holes. It’s a tight fit so make sure  you understand exactly what needs to be removed and what not prior to start “hacking”.

We are including 3 cables just in case you get one wrong and break one cable. Cables are necessarily very very delicate, they break just looking at them, so please handle them with care.

It’s necessary to use a 8mm wrench and needle nose pliers to hold the connector inside the hole and keep it from spinning while you tighten the outer nut. IF the connector rotates a bit while tightening , most likely you end up bending the cable soldered to it, and a new cable is needed. These thin cables are coaxial they have an outer shield and an inner conductor, so they are easy to short if they bend at the solder joint. Of course they cannot be soldered back because inner conductor and outer shield are to be insulated one from the other, they can’t be shorted (touching one another)
