The antenna has been tested to 14km* (*using 500mw lawmate tx and lawmate rx with saw filter mod), and so it should be good for most pilots who just need to do Aerial Video and/or Photography at distances around 8-10 km in total safety

RHCP Pinwheel 2.4ghz 90° SMA (CRASHPROOF)
Custom made CP Pinwheel (SPW) antenna . These antennas are individually tuned to your frequency. They feature 1.2:1 SWR , gain 1.7 dbic.
These include the new CRASHPROOF soldering system, with a cnc cut copper cross with a hole in the middle, soldered around the coax sheeting. This will make it able to withstand most crashes.
These outperform all CL type antennas, as they have higher gain and better multipath rejection.
